HYPER TYPER V2.0 is a retro-themed, terminal-style typing speed and accuracy test designed to measure a user's typing velocity in words per minute (WPM). The game runs in a dark mode with neon green text, utilizing the distinct look of the VT323 monospace font for a classic '80s computer aesthetic. Key features include real-time WPM and accuracy tracking, a countdown timer, and subtle sound effects for correct and incorrect key presses (powered by Tone.js). Users can customize their experience by selecting from three Game Modes (Quote Mode, Repeating Word, or Random Number Mix), three Time Modes (1, 2, or 5 minutes), and five Difficulty settings, which determine the complexity and length of the typing text. The core gameplay involves a time-based race to accurately type the displayed sequence character-by-character; the test ends when the time runs out or the full text is completed. A strict error limit of 5 mistakes is enforced, and exceeding this threshold results in an instant failure, forcing the user to prioritize accuracy alongside speed.
